Maintain poinsettia and water it properly
The christmas star (Euphorbia pulcherrima) remains one of the most popular plants. The breeder has significantly expanded the range of colors – from the well-known red to butter yellow and the lively two-tone. One of the most common questions about Christmas is: “How can I take care of my poinsettia so that it blooms again the next Christmas?
For those of you who are fearless – if you want to keep your poinsettia fresh and blooming for a long time, you should take care of it.
The conditions at home
light – Place the flower pot in front of a sunny window. It can face south, east or west. It is a tropical plant and prefers more sunlight
heat – To keep the poinsettia as fresh and blooming as possible, the temperature in the room should be between 18 and 23 degrees. At night you could even keep the temperature at 15 degrees. Have you seen a lush poinsettia that has some rotten leaves? This is caused by the low temperature.
water – water the plant whenever the soil in the pot is dry. Avoid abundant watering with the Christmas star! Withering is another problem. A withered plant can be resuscitated and saved, but this takes a lot of time and care.
Celebratory atmosphere at home
Humidity – The lack of moisture at home, especially in the winter months, is a very big problem. If your apartment tends to be dry, you should water your poinsettia regularly.
